Soon a love story with touches of magical realism and delicious recipes will arrive on screens, it is "Like Water for Chocolate," the new HBO series inspired by the novel by Mexican writer Laura Esquivel. The series has a great team behind it, including Salma Hayek Pinault as one of the executive producers.

The plot is set during the time of the Mexican Revolution, a period of social and political upheaval where family traditions had to be strictly respected. The story follows Tita de la Garza and Pedro Muzquiz, two young people deeply in love who cannot be together due to family norms that require Tita to remain single and care for her mother. Tita channels her desires and passions into cooking, altering the moods of those who taste her dishes.

"Like Water for Chocolate" has already released trailers for the series, showcasing key moments from the novel such as the refusal of the relationship between Tita and Pedro, as well as the emotional impact of Tita's recipes on those who consume them. The series has been filmed in Tlaxcala and Mexico City to achieve the setting of the era.
